If I never see any more garter stitches…..

Well I was making a baby blanket using Jared Flood’s tweed baby blanket pattern and have finally finished. I used sublime merino, cashmere, silk blend and except for a little issue with an icord border that was a bit too tight all came out very nice and the new mother to be was thrilled. I was not using as heavy a weight yarn as the pattern called for so I had to make a few adjustments for that. Never realized how I like patterning until I was doing all that garter stitching.   At some point I will try another as this pattern has a classic look but you can use so many different color schemes and they all look great.  Next time though I will need to either bind off with a much bigger needle or try a different bind off method.
